Tough one to name just one off the top of my head. I am going to have to say "The Sopranos", but "The Shield" comes in a very close second.
-
-
-
I'd say BSG, but only seasons 1&2. Maybe Firefly...?
-
has to be comedy for me. Saturday night live used to be so great.... in the old days. As in Belusi, Chevy Chase days. but its not really a 'series'.
-
After last night.... It became HBO's 'Game of Thrones'.
-
-
-
Took some thought... there are so many. But at the moment, it's Doctor Who
-
Doctor Who for me. Definitely. Firefly, BSG, Stargate very close behind
-
-
hmm no one picked Star Trek? come on, have to be some old trekkies around here somewhere
-
-
-
-
I was hooked on Wings for quite a while. Probably longer than any other sitcom.
-
I grew up watching the original Star Trek and loved TNG, but the question is favorite of all time :) Not an easy question to answer.
-
-
-
-
-
@Bob Jewels ah. The Marx Brothers.... maybe they were sort of an influence of Jerry Seinfeld, his humor reminds me of Groucho
-
I was fanatic about Mystery Science Theater 3000 during its run, and haven't been quite as intensely into a show since. I recently discovered Doctor Who, however, and I've become pretty obsessed with it too.
-
-
-
I got 4: Entourage, The Office, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and The League... and then ofcourse there is ESPN
-
-
-
just because someone has to give it props, Arrested Development
-
-
I'd have to define my "favourite" shows are ones that are "cozy" to me, that I can just stumble across or pick any random episode, and I feel right at home. There are a few shows that do that for me: Frazier, Keeping Up Appearances, Friends, and Star Trek: Voyager are definitely in the mix.
-
Top Gear (UK version), Robin Hood (sorry BBC again), Law & Order and everything that came from it, The Wire, Mad Men, and Now Game of Thrones!
-
OK, 6-way tie: Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, The Wire, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 24 and Swamp People
-

@Andrew Balcom I ust caught up on Dexter, holy crap, floored by the ending. Oh I forgot about Weeds too. I love that show.
-
My favorite show that is still currently in production is Breaking Bad. I can't wait for the season to start once again.
-
-
-
Dexter definitely makes the cut although I'm a big fan of Avatar the Last Airbender
-
-
That 70s Show is also another comfort-food show for me.
-
Dexter, Eureka, and Warehouse 13. Sorry can't decide which at this point.
-
Glee is my favorite but the very best TV show that everyone should watch is The Wire. It's brilliant social commentary on cities and America while also having a fantastic story, characters and dialogue. Life isn't complete without Omar, Stringer and of course, Baltimore. Also I love The Office and Arrested Development for comedies.
-
-
-
-
The only reason why I picked the Sopranos is because I think it allowed shows such as the Wire to be produced on HBO. @Ben Petro The Wire was art..
-

I personally like The Big Bang Theory... It seems like IMO that the producers/creators "get" the crowd they are targeting. Also, it helps that it's the perfect blend of light-comedy infused with some pseudo-geekiness and a fairly hot blonde chick too! =)
-
anybody remember the Wizz kids from the eighties. i'm trying to find the vhs videos to buy it was an american kids program on Saturday afternoon about a computer wizz kid who's farther work for the goverment and gave his little lad all the government redundant hardware
-
Father Ted! I sometimes give my servers hostnames of characters from this show...
-
I recently spent 10 minutes on this exercise over on Ranker.com (http://ranker.co...thington). Like a lot of people, I know what my top 3 or 5 are, but it can be hard to put them in definitive order: 1, 2, 3 ... So here are the TV series in my Top 5, roughly in order: Lost, Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Sopranos. The TV series I'd put in slots 6-10, roughly in order: Mad Men, Modern Family, Arrested Development, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Seinfeld. Honorable Mention at #11: Fawlty Towers.
-
Dexter's Laboratory. That show literally made me draw out schematics for my own overground lab when I was younger... back when I thought that was totally feasible. But the Simpsons in the earlier days were brilliant.
-
Even though it's still running "Mad Men" is my favorite. Also because of the time in my life it aired "The OC" is up there for me.
-
I saw somebody write The Office and It's always sunny which is a good sign, but really no Entourage Fans out here?
-
Tough call for me. I watch a lot of TV. I can narrow it down to Cosmos, Animaniacs, or Black Books, but I won't go any farther than that. As it is there are titles I keep wanting to add.
-
Favorites series *of all time* is pretty tough, up there for me would be the likes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Fraiser. I'm also a big fan of Grey's Anatomy. But Nip/Tuck has a special place in my heart as a deliciously morbid guilty pleasure.

-
One I found out recently: The IT crowd. http://youtube.c...yYGrswtg (Im getting an error while trying to embed it)
-
Twin Peaks. "The Owls are not what they seem"
-
-
@Veronica Futaoka you should check out Father Ted then, it is by the same guy who wrote The IT Crowd (but older)
-
I refuse to choose between two British shows: Pulling and The Smoking Room.
-
Ooooh... this is difficult. Lost was the first big series that I began watching and following, so that'll always hold something special with me. I think 24 was brilliant as well. Oh and Dexter. And Breaking Bad.
-
All time is a bit difficult, but right now I have to say Doctor Who
-
-
Battlestar Gallactica is fantastic. Right now I have a weird fascination with American Pickers.
-
Futurama. So rarely does a series come around that is genuinely funny, touching and smart.
-
@Landon Walsh Game of Thrones is exceptional, but if you like the series, I cannot encourage you enough to read the books. The series carries a lot of weight, politically, socially and personally (for the characters in the novels) and the show cannot fully illustrate and bring the material to life the same way the books do. But yea, it is amazing!
-
-
-
-
Friends, it is. Watching for the past 10 years and many of the jokes are still funny.
-
-
-
I've seen every episode...still hilariously funny!
-
-
@Kyle Wiersbe Ha! Its funny you said that. After episode 9 I went to the bookstore and read the last 200 pages of book one, and bought book 2.
-
The West Wing and the XFiles (although the first 2 seasons of the latter are never as good as I remember them).
-
@Landon Walsh I started reading the first book again, and finished it the night episode 9 aired so had to experience that twice... needless to say I was devastated.
-
Hmmm... Although the Office has a pretty big legacy, it has gone to hell these last few seasons. I would have to say it is a tie between Parks and Rec and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Both fantastic shows.
-
For me the best television show ever would be Scrubs.
-
-
Easy: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You're welcome ;)
-
-
-
It would have to be Charmed, hands down.
-
-
Without a doubt it has to be LOST! PERIOD! No show will ever come close.
-
Batllestar Galactica or BSG is one of the most amazing television series of all times.
-
Heroes used to be good...until season 2...
-
And recently I got hooked on a British drama called Luther. You guys should check it out!
-
Friday Night Lights is finishing up its run right now. Can't recommend it enough. The first four seasons are all on Netflix too: http://clicker.c...t-lights
-
Favorite of all time? That's tough. Right now — RIGHT NOW — I'd say "Seinfeld." But ask me again tomorrow. Might be something like "Battlestar Galactica."
-
My favorite show of all time is Dexter. It is a very different show, but great!
-
This is a really tough question! I didn't have a television for about ten years, so I'm slowly catching up on all these great shows.
It's a tie between Dexter, Q.I., Top Gear, and Castle. - It really depends on what mood I'm in!
-
What do you think?
