How to Use @Color

Have you seen Peter Pham’s smart phone app Color™? It is a location-aware social application. We spent a little time thinking of offbeat ways to use it.

Showing people that you photo-bombed them in real time, how awesome is that?

I would love to have fun with Color but I have yet to _ever_ get that damn thing to work. I mean not once have I been able to see anything but my own crappy photos. The last try was at a Prince concert where I all saw were iPhones taking videos of the concert. Still, no luck. This is a cartoon about how to troll on Color. But, I think Color already is trolling us.

Rather timely – I was just reading a post/article about this App yesterday! I’m still having a challenge wrapping my head around the value of this product, but I’m sure if I give it a try a time or two I’ll understand it better.

Addroid, that’s the main problem I think. Without widespread adoption, there’s no one to share with. It’s hard enough for me to find someone to check in alongside with Foursquare! Hopefully they’ll dump some of their bazillions of dollars of investment money into public saturation, and then maybe the app will be worth using.

I actually wrote an article about this back in March: http://revsym.blogspot.com/2011/03/color-me-doubtful.html
